Refund Policy
Last updated July 11, 2026
This policy covers two separate kinds of charges, and the distinction matters: charges for a shop’s own DiveHQ subscription, and charges DiveHQ processes on a shop’s behalf for its divers. They work differently.
1. DiveHQ subscription charges
We bill a shop’s DiveHQ subscription monthly (or annually, where offered) in advance. You can cancel at any time from your account settings or by contacting support@divehq.io. Cancelling stops future billing, but it does not refund the current billing period. Your subscription stays active, and you keep access, through the end of the period you already paid for.
We don’t offer partial-month or prorated refunds for early cancellation. If you believe we charged you in error, whether a duplicate charge, a charge after you cancelled, or a billing mistake on our end, contact us and we’ll investigate and correct it.
2. Charges processed for a shop’s divers
DiveHQ processes deposit holds, rental charges, and trip payments on behalf of dive shops, using Stripe as the underlying processor. These charges belong to the shop, not to DiveHQ. The shop acts as the merchant of record for anything charged to a diver: a deposit hold, a gear rental, a trip fee. Each shop’s own cancellation and refund policy governs refunds, cancellations, and disputes for those charges, not this page.
A diver who wants a refund, a deposit released, or a charge disputed should contact the dive shop they booked with directly. DiveHQ can’t issue refunds on a shop’s behalf without that shop’s authorization, since the funds and the customer relationship both belong to the shop.
3. How to reach us
For anything tied to your shop’s own DiveHQ subscription, reach us at support@divehq.io. For a charge tied to a specific trip or booking, contact the dive shop you booked with. They can see the full transaction and sit in the best position to resolve it.
4. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as DiveHQ evolves. We update the date at the top of this page when we do.
